Going back in the story to see what was missed... (spoileriffic discussion!)

So now that the main story is done I wanted to pool some story resources and draw as much as we can from the story that was presented. I started last night by delving into my Unending Journey and discovered that the song played distantly outside, "Answers", actually plays in the first few cutscenes (being from Limsa it was when Leviathan jumps over your ship). So that got me watching another city's intro...Ul'dah. GEEEZE!

Being a miner and goldsmith it was nice to see the Lala twins and even the love interest of the goldsmith guild manager's...BROTHER?! Woah woah woah. Isn't he dead? Why is he in a cutscene?! The mystery deepens. As some of you may know the storyline to the GSM guild revolves around Colbernaux and his sorrow for his murdered brother and pining after his brother's Miqo'te lover. So...what happened? I thought the brother was dead for years yet there he is featured in several starting quests.

Can any shed light on this? Also, do any of you all have other storyline questions or observances we can help each other answer so we can piece it all together since the main game is over?

Are you sure it not Colbernoux himself

They do but if they aren't changing NPC's costumes/names it is the same guy as you find in the Ossuary tomb. It is so strange. I'll try to plumb YouTube for other Ul'dah scenario cutscenes but it is an interesting observation to see this. In the GSM quest apparently his Roeg friend is a suspected culprit because he is obsessed with the magic dagger that killed Colb's brother Nielle'. I haven't gotten too far yet in reviewing my Limsan CSes but I haven't figured out the treasure of Seal Rock yet, only speculation that the Navigator created Leviathan and sealed him in, well, Seal Rock to keep the seas from rising.
