What I noticed in the character creation video.

what if not? ;XD 1 1/2 years of developing the char editor.. and then they are going to implement the other hairstyles within 2 months till beta oder what? really doubtful.

First, to make it clear, I love the character creator video and everything in it. But this argument doesn't really stand up to scrutiny. The other races and classes are there, but grayed out. Meanwhile, the number of hair, face, etc options is explicitly defined. I personally would not be put out if what we saw here is what we get, though I would not say no to more options; but I would not get your hopes up too high that they are going to release more options.

The reps have responded to the issue, saying that there would be more options, but their response was rather evasive. I'm holding out cautious optimism for more, but I honestly am not expecting much.

It does stand up, because all the grayed out options you mentioned were just clickable text. But the options we're talking about (such as hair or face) have clickable thumbnail icons. It stands to reason that if they haven't finished those yet or don't want to reveal them, then they wouldn't have icons for them either to gray out in the first place.
