Here is my advice for people with lousy memories:

From now on, temper your every praise of FFXIV with two parts criticism.

"I like X, but Y and Z are lacking."
"X is the best I've ever seen in an MMO, but they should develop Y more. I am also unimpressed with Z."
"So far, my favorite part of the beta is X. However, if they don't work out the problem with Y before retail, it will only serve to make Z even worse."

This will give you a healthy perspective of the game despite brain rot, fanboyism, wishful thinking and/or ignorance of history.
