Pretty sure Yoshida-San said in an interview or a dev post I saw that we will only get one retainer. I have no clue how to find the info again tho it was a while back. could have changed also.

Since we all have two and have stuff on each of them they can't very well start charging for something they've already given us, unless the first retainer's capacity were increased to be big enough to hold the items from both.

Or...like planned, your extra items would be transferred to an NPC and you can get them back.

That's for your inventory, which is shrinking in size, not for retainers, which are growing in size. We've already created and customized our retainers, they're not going to take them away unless they take the system away.

Unless you hear SE say "we're taking your 2nd retainer away" then it's not happening.

I was just demonstrating how it would easily be possible for them to do the same thing if they removed a retainer.

I feel like at one point he said after the first one we would have to pay for extra retainers. No idea for sure though

easier to make new characters and use their mules. if legacy account all for free
