Housing Instances

From what I can tell they will have instances where ppl just go in and buy lots of land in an area. I think it would be better if they did it by Free Companys instead or give you the option to do it that way. Some ppl would like to have there houses right next to ppl from there Free Company and new ppl who join would be able to get there house with everyone else if they wanted to. It could even be something like guild halls are in other games but it would be like a little city for the FC instead.
If you decided to leave the FC or and join another one your lot would just be moved to the new FC instance and you just pick where to put it and everything is the same. If you don't join a new FC then you can put it in normal instance.

Was it confirmed that our houses and FC will be in the same zone?

If so I bet they will be using "one spot" on the map as the FC hub - and either using loading doors or a kind of WoW phasing so that only the FC you are a part of is in that cell.

Well from what I got out of the post about it was that there will be a few different instances with plots of land in them. You pick the plot you want and your house goes in that spot. Once those fill up they said they would add more instances with more plots of land when needed.
I was just thinking that it would be better if they did it so that your FC would have its own instance where ppl could put the houses if they wanted to be by the other ppl of there FC. Making a sort of town for the FC would let you move around to other ppl's houses and could even contain a guild hall or something instead of using some elses house.

Well it's been stated in the past that once your Free Company was established or big enough that your houses will serve as extensions to it, or something to that effect.

My guess is that you will be able to pick housing plots in instances wherever you like, and then have the option to "teleport" back and forth between your house and Free Company hall at will. All of this is still pretty much up to speculation though.

To be honest, I don't like the idea of my house being forced next to my Free Company hall. What if I want to live in the forest, but my Free Company is stationed in the desert? What if I want to be neighbors with a friend that is in a different Free Company? I'd like to have the freedom to choose.

Well thats why it should give you the option to if you want. Either let you be with your FC with ppl from your FC or have some open instances where ppl can just put up there houses where they want to.
