Mail/delivery box

We really need some way to send items to other players. I guess I got used to not having it but it would be such a relief to see it implemented. As for the type of mailing system, I don't care but I suppose I'd prefer having boxes here and there in cities and villages.

Couple thoughts on this:

1) Yoshi-P has said that one of their concerns is that there aren't many ways to take money out of the economy right now. Adding a mail system -- with a delivery charge -- would help that.

2) For me, the concern isn't trading things to my alt. It's getting mats to other people. For example, my LS has a culinarian, to whom I give all my food mats. A mail system makes it possible to give him those mats even when he's not online, or when he's off doing leves, or when he's in Limsa and I'm in Gridania, or whatever.

3) I won't be particularly bothered if they do the delivery system via retainer. But keep in mind that your retainer can't be in the market wards selling your stuff, and also out making deliveries for you, and also available at the retainer bell to take your mats. It would probably have to do one at a time. So be careful what you wish for.

I agree, using retainers for this would be an extra hassle we don't really need. Just mailboxes in convienient places in towns and maybe even at aetherites (one can hope right).

Yea, having mailboxes at camps would be an awesome addition

I myself use the 3 extra characters as storage npcs, if i didnt have my GF's account to help trade back n forth characters, i dont know if i'd be crafting at all. Thats also saying i wouldnt be having 3 extra alts on my account and my gf's account. So question to ya SE, do you want an extra 18 bucks a month from me?

welp apparently SE acknowledges us and will be implementing a delivery / mailbox system, yay us!

Not a bad idea. Maybe just attach a small fee for this service...or like the post above, maybe just use our current retainer and add a tab 'group inventory' or 'LS inventory' or something.
