Keyboard and Mouse alternative for ps3

Hello, I have read that ps3 players will be able to use their usb keyboards or blue-tooth keyboards to communicate with players in game. I was wondering if anyone knew if it would be possible to use the keyboard and mouse from your to play the game without controller.

I know many console users love controllers, but there are also people who would love to play with keyboard and mouse on their ps3. So the experience would be the same for the most part as pc users.

When it comes to MMOs many users enjoy keyboard & mouse controls over controller controls. I am not saying one is better than the other, only that it would be nice for ps3 users to have the option of choice much like their pc companions.

it's already confirmed: you can't choose keybord+mouse on ps3, because they take too much memory.
Isn't a question wherever you can choose a thing or not. It simply cannot be done

I don't know weather the PS3 version will support a mouse and keyboard. I know if it doesn't it's not because they take too much memory (this is just a strange and silly excuse). The PS2 version of FFXI supported a mouse and keyboard. You'll have to wait to see if FFXIV also allows support.

So far they have said no plans to play with mouse and keyboard on PS3 but you can use a keyboard to chat. Maybe in the future they'll add keyboard/mouse support for gameplay but as of now they said they have no plans.

It wasn't confirmed that you can't use them. Only that you can't use the keyboard&mouse UI.
I say, if someone want to play with keyboard&mouse with an UI builded around a controller, let him. So far he not complain about the UI control after that.

I Own the PC version 2 copies infact, but what about the people who don't have the money to shell out for a computer that can run FFXIV ARR but have a ps3, but they still want to be able to play with keyboard and mouse. I don't think it would really take that much more effort. The UI would have to be scaled larger because of lower res on tvs. I just think having more option is always going to be better than less. Maybe if it can be patched in later down the line so it doesn't take time from the current work order.
