Ok, ok, joking aside I did check with Yoshi-P and the sound team about the future direction of FFXIV's music. They will be blending the old tracks with new ones to create the soundtrack for version 2.0.

Sorry for cutting Camate's quote, but they will keep some 1.0 songs and move them to 2.0.
