    As I pointed out in the above thread one this ring's concept was copy and pasted from the Lord of the Rings.

    The ring is the intellectual property of Middle-earth Enterprises, I only bring this up because you said at the bottom of the rings gallery
    In addition to the grand prize winner and the two runner-ups, other designs may also be used as the basis for future in-game items.
    obviously they wouldn't like that too much and they definitely seem like the kind of people that might sue.


    Hate to post about it twice but the other thread was a necro thread and I wanted to make sure the moderators saw it. Also hate to get anybody in trouble (especially if it's some 10 year old) but this game has already had enough financial troubles.

    If they use other rings from the competition - unless as a very loose base they should give credit to those ring creators.

    Kind of lame to only reward 10 but use all 1,000.

    Also I dont think those two rings are similar - because I am blind. :P

    (whoever submitted that ring grained the shadows horizontally instead of vertically, win? lol)

    I'm hoping that ring gets pulled... can't stand people who steal someone else's work and then palm it off as their own :/

    They didn't even grain it lol if you google image search Ring of Barahir the same photo they used comes up, they just changed the resolution so they could enter it in the contest

    Obviously, SE can't verify each and every entry -- but we as players can help.

    Whoever submitted that one risks having their acct banned as outlined in the contest rules IIRC.
