What XIV can take from XI to make it better

Having a leader board type competition is great for prolonging the life of a game.

SE already does a good job with the GC Heroes idea. Possibly make it so these rankings give a bonus for the respective GC members?

And put that somewhere in the game, not on a seperate board. Not to mention maybe give those people or their FC access to goods through npc's they couldnt normally get.
