What XIV can take from XI to make it better

Hopefully when we play 2.0 my Dragoon might play a bit differently than the next Dragoon standing beside me.

but I want my dragoon to play as the best dragoon out there so in turn I can be the best... do you see that problem? why play different when everyone needs the best its flawed in any system... which is why I love that WoW made their talents all equal in dif ways so not 1 was more important to the other to make it so you can be different but it does not effect the system much...

Sure the Min/Maxers will always narrow out a cookie cutter regardless, but if SE is good at designing horizontal character growth there wont be a "Best" build. Hell XI merits often had a multitude of builds, my Thief had radically different Merits than others because I focused on Solo play. I may not have been the best in parties but when everyone else was dead and I took the win where others would have fell, well you get what I'm saying.

As long as Horizontal character growth isn't as stale as the main leveling curve then I'm good.
