    I couldn't agree more with this sentiment. Whilst a lot of people have already gone nuts saying "WE DON'T WANT XI-2 RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE" You can take ideas from another successful MMO without cloning it entirely. Look at the most favoured content in XI and create it for XIV with it's own spin. Sure you need some fresh ideas too, but I'd have no problem if they had content similar to let's say; Salvage in XIV.

    Well said Ruisu... this Maxthunder chap seriously needs to learn some simple sentence structure. A lack of this skill speaks volumes about the level of cognitive processing.

    What I also find intriguing is how he's got a dismissive opinion for several aspects of the game dynamics even though he only just started playing about a year ago... odd. There are several people on here who have been playing since closed beta 2010 and have helped this game evolve with a variety of solid suggestions...

    But this guy? Almost all his posts for the past few weeks have been nothing short of abrasive towards FFXIV in general... conveniently forgetting that people only take criticizers seriously ONLY if they offer viable solutions. You will do very well to remember this in real life... trust me.

    Listen Max, if you don't like the game, leave and go play something else... period. Quit the attention-grabbing negative commentary at every available opportunity; and as the FFXIV script writers would say: its just grindingly pedestrian.

    Yoshi has done a phenomenal feat in sustaining this game, leading 250+ staff members (and their afflliates) to success and earned himself the respect of both his peers in the industry and players worldwide... I repeat... worldwide.

    To top it off, he obviously has enough of a brilliant strategy in mind to be able to receive the full backing of President CEO Yoichi Wada.

    Until you can equal these accomplishments or do better, hold your peace... from where I come from, thats a very powerful piece of advice. Seriously.

    What I'd like to see is Tiered Endgame Systems.
    Sky, Sea, ZNM, Magians & Abyssea NMs

    These are all examples of events that took time, were generally fun, rewarding and some had cool areas connected to them.

    this is pretty much the main and only thing that i would need to make me happy too, wtf happen to mmo's. pvp mmo's all are getting into full server, faction on faction stuff ..even the cheesy mmo's like gw2, but pve mmo's that are supposed to be A+ titles can't give us more the 16people battles? it's bs, but i truely hope to see full linkshell events in ffxiv or at least something in the 30+ people runs and not stupid open world events i mean real events that last 2-3hrs and need coordination like the above mentioned. not stuff that 30people show up to and is made dumbed down for just that reason.

    I dont think anyone is saying clone XI. but take some simple mechanics and develop content as engaging and challenging as XI. Again not a copy. I never did any HNM Camping but does that mean i dont think it should be in game? short answer no. Leveling should be slower, not XI slow perhaps but not PL Fast. every other sequel on the market takes ideas from their predecessors. why is it such blasphemy for XIV to do the same? i read alot of NO XI-2! but no real arguments as to why they cant take concepts and mechanics from XI. again i will repeat myself once again NOT A COPY

    I think the problem is, the name of the thread differs from what you guys actually mean. Even the OP differs from what you actually mean. I will admit I have been part of the NO XI 2 RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE group... but if the idea is given a different spin then it seems to be more negotiable. I'd be more interested in how people would spin the ideas from other FF games into the FFXIV:ARR world.

    I think if they were to bring aspects of endgame like this to 14, you'll see content trickle in a lot less frequently. The systems worked in 11, but only because 75 cap didn't move for damn year 6-7 years. Also, since ENTIRE builds were based on solely on gear, you were constantly side-grading, so most of endgame never became obsolete. FFXIV's gear system is not indicative of that. Raids will most likely be tiered, but not in the same way that you're thinking.
