Encouragement Thread for Yoshi-P and the Devs.

In lieu of the "feedback" threads, weather negative or positive about the direction the developers are taking with FFXIV, I felt compelled to start a thread of "encouragement" on the English forums somewhat similar to what is on the Japanese forums.

Work in general at times can be very stressful and I can only imaging what it is like for the developers of this game considering they are tasked with turning around a failed game. With that said I would like to send a few encouraging words to Yoshi-P and the Dev Crew:

1. Thanks! - I am glad that SE decided not to give up on this game and decided to spend time, effort and resources in rebuilding this game, so for that I personally want to say thank you!

2. Watch your Health! - I'm not sure what specific demands are being place on you the developers, but hearing from the "Letters from the Producers" sounds like you guys are pushing yourselves to the limits physically and mentally. Please Please watch your health and take some time (if any) to recoup and regroup!

3. Good Job! - In my personal opinion I am very positive about the overall changes being implemented, so I just want to give you guys a virtual pat on the back !


Anyone else in the NA Community that would like to add their words of encouragement to this thread, please do, however this thread is NOT the thread for negative "feedback" a.k.a criticism or even requests for ideas to be implemented into the game.

Once again Yoshi-P and Devs, I'd like to give you guys a hardy /cheer!

Signed. Indeed, for better or worse, the achievements of the development team are impressive and I have a great deal of respect for them. Not only have they managed to put together almost an entirely new game in 2 years - plus or minus a few months - but they have also built the underpinning engine to that game, and continually put out updates for another game, all over the same 2 year period.

You are doing a great job, you are very open to suggestions while still having direction, it is a great feat indeed!

Keep up the great work, I'm excited for ARR and the future of FFXIV.

Indeed! Thank you for making this thread, not many threads like this one. All I see now in days are personal attacks, people getting Hostile, impatience, Doom and gloom etc etc. It like the end of the world is coming... oh wait it is haha!

Anyways, I love when positive threads pop up, just like this one. It brings me hope that not all of the forums are just one sided. Signed! Thank you Enyce!

I'd like to thank the team for what looks to be an impressive housing system so far, I like my aesthetics and picking land, having a garden and even a Chocobo stable just to begin with makes me a happeh Kitteh.

I would also like to thank them for their hard work. This game is growing from nothing into something worthwhile, and we have yoshi-p and this entire team to thank for that. Please please pleaseeee take care Of yourselves, it is imperative that you all stay in good health. yoshi, don't smoke too much, I worry for your health ._.

I would also like I thank them for this experience, so far it has been amazing. I have never been a part of the rebirth of a game- of the voice, it's certainly brought out a certain perspective I never imagined from an MMO. This journey has been rich in experience and in good/bad feelings, but I appreciate it all, it's given me a totally different image of what an MMO should be, and given me insight into the makings of one. Thank you SE, and thank you yoshi-p

2 years ago, when I beta tested 1.0, the game wasn't good - let's face it. You did a great job over the two years, as 1.23 is already feeling like a whole new game. I've got to admit I can't wait for 2.0, but take your time for that one. Don't listen to people that are too hasty and have no idea on what software development is like, take your time, don't push yourselves too hard (I also had the feeling you were under a lot of pressure lately).

Thank you, dev team. I know you've been putting in some really, really long hours improving the current version of XIV while simultaneously creating a new game in record time. I'm really looking forward to ARR, and I hope that with its release you can finally relax your work schedule. You guys deserve more than a break--you deserve a medal for what you've done!
