Mine would be having a Nidhogg MPK war with rival LSs those times were fun.

Man, I remember when Ascendant Sky was on the Fenrir server before they all migrated over! Were you around then?
I was Sephileon on Fenrir and part of The Light Warriors LS.
Unfortunately my fondest memory was getting revenge on a rival LS for their actions on the HNM scene while rage quitting. I could go into detail but that's not what this thread is about. My server was one big constant drama.
But when things were instanced it was all fun and games. There's a video on Youtube of us taking down the 5x AA fight while it was still hard, before BLM zergs were cool.

And this is why I am a strong supporter of any worthwhile end-game loot being put in an instance and not HNMs. Instance = fun, HNM = drama.

HNM = Random Drop rates + Competition = Gear is rare and only the l33t get it.

I was Shugo on Carbuncle.
My favorite moments were being 1st NA to get full Usukane set (Lyramion is in germany so he don't count!) and Shadow Ring/Mantle and makin' everyone jelly.
My least favorite moment was camping KA against Scarface because he said mean things to me and made me cry irl.
I played with Hikiri (Moth) and now we're happily married and living together in my parent's basement. We are currently pursuing our life's goal to become morbidly obese so we can collect disability checks and play video games all day long.
Not if it's designed properly.
I believe an instance should be so hard that only the best LS on the server will be farming it in the first few months of it being added and even that best LS will take weeks to beat it. If you don't get the strategy perfect then you don't reach the end and don't get the good loot. I'm talking Dynamis Xarcabard difficulty when it was first added, getting that loot off the Dynamis Lord. Far harder than zerging some HNM.
But we're going off topic and there's a couple of threads already on HNM vs instance.
Can't say I remember you lol. I only really remember the major players on the HNM scene and my rage quit was in 2005.

Unfortunately, no, I was originally on Midgardsormr. I always followed AscendantSky because they were the top LS around at the time and it was always my ambition to join them one day, so when I heard they were migrating to Hades I took a gamble and followed them.
Most of the LS started FFXIV on Wutai at launch, but 90% of the LS has quit since then. We are only a few left playing and we are sticking together, but hopefully more will come back when the game gets better.
Wow lol I'm surprised you saw them that way from the outside back then. I can't comment on them in Hades (maybe they became good) but they weren't the top LS when they were on Fenrir... not even one of the top EN LSs. They were just loud. But I don't really want to go into detail why no one except them considered them the best. /tell me in-game if you wanna chat about it. :PUnfortunately, no, I was originally on Midgardsormr. Heh, I'll talk to you ingame. Top or not though, it was a great experience playing with all of them, all great guys and gals, made the game worthwhile for me.Wow lol I'm surprised you saw them that way from the outside back then.
