Not really, it's actually the communities fault there's a negative reaction because they're too busy being pissed off about a game they more than likely never played to honestly look at an idea that's being put forward, especially since Yoshi himself starts drawing parallels to other FF games including XI.

The funniest part is the "dynamis" idea is exactly the same thing as doing a current dungeon except you'd actually kill more than the required enemies, but because it's called 'dynamis' people feel their mothers got killed by the OP and attack it.

Because that's the style of system he was talking about (Killing monsters for job/class specific gear really narrows it down), which as of right now only exists in FFXI in that exact design. If he was talkin about rifts popping up everywhere he'd be talking about either A. Voidwatch in FFXI B. Rifts in...Rift or C. The newer content in KTera.

Only one of those options would piss people off because it's the cool thing to hate on.

Square is "playing safe" now because they risk a lot trying to break the mold with 1.0, it wen't horribly wrong and now they are afraid of innovation.

Maybe not a mount or playable race... But an NPC version of Umaro(just hopefully a different name) in 14 graphics would look pretty badass. I'd like to see it. After all, why not? This MMO is more fan services, were already getting Magitek armor mount, FF3 crystal tower with boss, lets not forget the famous golden saucer from 7.

Nah, I was discussing Umaro specifically. It just makes me feel better that someone didn't take one of my examples of an extreme and agree with it just to annoy me.
