    I, for once, loved the concept of a different physical level from the class/job/weapon or skill you were using. It was a powerful concept but sadly it didn't catch and to be honest, wasn't as polished as it should have been. I liked it because, how many times during FFXI didn't we wondered "if I'm a warrior lvl 75 why the same character starts as a lvl 1 thf/monk/whatever, now I'm welding a different weapon and suddenly I'm weaker?"
    of course you are weaker, because you arent experienced in that type of weapon. you have played a warrior till lv 50 and want to kill lv 50 mobs when you start learning the arts of magic?

    and on the other hand you have been totally overpowered when you have been with your physic level very high and switched to a low level job



    For me every other game now looks way more boring and bland compared to FFXIV
    well thats so not really true.. gridania area and La Noscea have been the most boring regions ever seen.. i mean.. there are no real highlights to explore, it just looks so plain to me personally. offline final fantasys have special places you remind of... ff14 never had them.....

    i mean okay they look realistic, but they have no characteristics in it. if you have seen the beginning of La Noscea you have seen almost whole Noscea. thats about it. the same for gridania. no highlights at all in it.



    Final Fantasy themes. Going hand to hand with the aesthetics point, I loved how this game is a Final Fantasy to the core, with all the great elements in it: The music, the crystals and it's influence on the world mechanics and structure, the evil guys that in truth may be not so evil, the characters and story lines, chocobos, the steampunk feel to the technology, mixing a science fiction with a medieval fantasy feel perfectly, it's just great and it's all I ever wanted in a Final Fantasy game.
    well all things that have been mostly introduced when yoshida has been the producer.. cool music like in moogle battle (the moogle battle itself), garuda theme, characters like Kann-e-Senna...Van Darnus, chocobos etc. have been introductions from the "yoshida" team
