Oh, another couple of points I'd like to touch on before this is your last reply in the whole thread, lawl:
1) Since when do people follow you around? I don't believe you're a forum celebrity. You're merely a person who played the game with too much time on their hands, leading you to multiple relics and probably an entire collection of the 7. That doesn't make you any more or less important here on the board, and therefore your opinion is on equal grounds with anyone else's. If you have nothing interesting to contribute to a thread (which, lets face it, this thread only touches on the POSSIBILITIES of future content in ARR) then why do you choose to speak in it? You wasted your own time and everyone else's by sitting on your high horse and talking down to the rest of us.
2) As previously stated, I know and fully understand the circumstances of 1.0's existence, 2.0's creation, and all sorts of obstacles they need to mull through. I've taken part in the development of several large mods for other games, and though it's not a professional or paid position I've put plenty of pride into my coding, my crappy modeling, and my decent playtesting skills. I've learned what it means to be on a development pipeline, the hurdles that need to be cleared, and the problems that need to be conquered. By making a suggestion in this thread, I by no means imply I know better than the development team on any subject related to their game. Again, I simply joined in to discuss possibilities and decent suggestions that other people might have, while contributing my own thoughts to the matter and becoming relevant to the thread. It's for fun and giggles, and not only are you NOT contributing, but you're also reading far too much into the matter and taking it too literally, when it's light-hearted and for fun.
3) I've been playing this game on and off since day 1. I've experienced plenty of the content. I've done countless Ifrit and Moogle runs, I leveled several classes/jobs to 50, I nearly finished the GC stuff, I finished the original story-line, I did all my AF quests, I participated in several speed runs (and quite frankly didn't care for that kind of content). While I found the game quite enjoyable in my own way, I found myself abhorrent of the way they made spammable content and how getting things such as Darklight gear was handled. Is it wrong for me to choose to not participate in things like AV/CC speedruns for gear I'll still be able to get later when the system makes more sense, is less convoluted, and a token reward system is in place?
Is it wrong for a person to not feel like grinding Hamlet defense for hundreds of hours to get silly beastmen seals, and every other thing required to even ATTEMPT a relic weapon? Is it wrong for me to choose not to buy a double-melded class weapon because I a) don't have the gil or b) don't give a damn? Is it wrong for me to choose to not work towards an Artifact Weapon right now when the system will change and become less convoluted, thanks to changes to the battle system, Hamlet, dungeons, etc?
Short answer: No, it isn't. I played the game my way and I found it enjoyable. Just because someone didn't experience a game to the extent that you did doesn't make them any less a fan or a player of the game than you. And quite frankly, nobody gives a fuck and a half about how many relics you have, or how much darklight you have; to think otherwise is to be inflated by your massive ego, and all of the other children will just point and laugh because you think you're a somebody on a bloody video game. Good job, friend.
Now, if you have nothing worth contributing to this thread, you may show yourself out.
