Enough. This is industry failure. It *continues* to be failure. I could actually recreate said model in barely 4 hours in Maya or Lightwave, and that's without a texture lol. Btw, it was added before the event even was.

Rift just copied everything that WoW did and then slapped their Lore on top of it. They did nothing new.

which their lore is a mash pot ove ever MUD from Ironrealm entertainment. I look up rift it follows similar to a few Mud i played.

Honestly there is a game in much worst shape then ffxiv, and its DCUO. It has worst copy/pasting I seen in any game. There are bugs which still freeze or dc ppl daily. The game is very small on top of that. The devs promised an update with new raids/ content released every mnth.
Sp far they caouldn't keep that promise once.

They also do events in that game...... WEEKS LATER from the actual holiday.

DCUO in their second update set for what was march... now as update 2 with no actual set date will have a st patricts day event. Think how stupid it is to have a staint patricts day event near easter.....

I rather have events and them bring on time so the community can get together on something and have fun.

Honestly you should play dcuo. then rage. And ppl actually are PAYING for dcuo.
oh and for the record about your plague comment...... I rather die with 1 moment of happyness then suffer mths in depression and sickness. Most meds during the plague just prolonged the suffering.

You want to argue that these updates don't hinder progress in other areas, prove it. Because it looks like they're failing to produce to everyone else. Do you have any idea how lolzy this announcement is to the gaming community at large? To hint that companies are coming next only to produce another stupid holiday event? This game is the laughing stock of the MMO world, and this is exactly why. Rift came out with a better launch product than this game has in 6 months of retail patching, and THIS is the content we get. It's bad publicity. No holiday event, at this point, is better than another stupid, pointless one because releasing a celebration when this game is a DISASTER makes it look like the developers are sitting around on their decadent asses making petty crap while they should be doing more important things to stop a blight.

Nero fiddles around while Rome burns. That's the image the devs are giving people by releasing petty quest and trifling holiday events right now.

In every department this game needs fixed, even in the same areas that they spend time on in the holiday events. They make new animations for holiday events, the old animations are pathetic. They make new gear for holiday events, we need more real gear. They balance the synthesis of pointless things, we need balance of significant synths. Everything they spend time on making holiday events...we need improvements on in the *actual* game world.
