I want to like MMOs, but they just don't do it for me, especially when I watch shows like Sword art online, .hack

Yeah. Because being killed for real when you play a MMO is all the rage.

Not to mention the fact that Sword Art Online, as a game, is based on an extremely banal and definitely boring concept.

There are 100 levels of a dungeon. Dungeon -> Boss -> Dungeon -> Boss -> Dungeon -> Boss. Rinse. Repeat. 100 Times. If that's your ideal of a great MMO, boy you're clueless.

The author of the novel may be a decent writer (it's actually not that well written), but he'd be an *horrible* game designer.
