I agree with you at 100% I will give the chance to ARR, But if this game turn into WoW, leaving wont be a problem until i can find something as good and challenging as FFXI was.I wanna stay with FF mmo's forever but I agree I couldn't sit and enjoy any mmo like I did XI. XI kept me hooked literally logging on everyday with TOO much to get done. No other mmo has had that for me. I cant even stand the way you level/quest and raid enough to play more then 3 months before I stop playing other MMO's. XIV kept me busy but not even 1/5 of as busy as I always seemed to be in xi. If ARR is just another wow/tera/gw/pw/sw ill be so sad I think id have to quit until the team of those MuD roleplay games decided to make a mmo. With a short playin of that skyrim mmo. I do love player submitted dats!

Can't say slugs jumping out of a tree makes me happy ;/ But ARR makes me happy just please SE stop making me a pew pew archer who plays a harp mid battle. that's so not me ; ;

Ah, but will facing north-by-northeast at 2:45 a.m. while the moon is a waning crescent result in a 27% increase in your chances to synthesize HQ mythril ingots!? That is real the question! ~Fernehalwes~
Well the keyword is "Surprised". Did you "expect" those Slugs to come out? Or did you feel like it was just going to be Pour water on tree and that's it?
And it is a low level quest.. so :P.

Fair point! And truthfully though it didn't excite me, im glad it excited youIt makes my day to hear people go "OMG did you think that was gonna happen??! So cool!
"
I could live off positive feedback^^

SW:TOR is not a copy paste of WOW. It's a crappy MMO which they spent almost all of their resources on doing full motion CGI and voice acting, and not enough time adding relevant or fun activities, any kind of end-game, and out-of-game tools like mobile apps and whatever.
And fyi, the subscription-only model of MMOs is largely dead these days. Not even WOW does subscription-only anymore. MMOs that don't come with mobile apps for chat or AH checking, character profiles, robust digital distribution, free trials or other free-to-play options, and heavy campaigning for subscriptions are going to die.
RIFT is still holding on fairly well and is profitable, despite being more of a "WOW clone" than any other MMO that came out. The difference between it, and other failed MMOs like Aion, SW:TOR, Age of Conan, and whatever, is that they came out with fun gameplay from the get-go, they kept their end-game updated and with fresh content constantly, and spent resources providing out-of-game experience for people. SW:TOR didn't do any of that and it bombed hard.

Wow Wolfie, I totally forgot all about Rift. Havent heard that game since it's release ^^:And fyi, the subscription-only model of MMOs is largely dead these days. I kind of forgot about it too because I had zero interest in it, but after speaking to some friends that still play it and googling around for a bit, it turns out that they're doing fairly well. They released an expansion not too long ago.
The problem these days is that production costs for MMOs are way higher than they were 7+ years ago, but if you say you're going to charge $17/mo or $20/mo for your MMO, you're going to be the laughing stock of the MMO world. Nobody's gone above $15/mo since the Everquest days.
The way you fix that problem is either by campaigning for very high subscription numbers and sweetening the deal as much as possible for as many people as possible, by offering the dreaded cash-shop which will make your MMO a (profitable) laughing stock, or by scaling back on production and capping out at a lower subscriber base.

now if you click on something and this happens ...that is a suprise. the video looks like crap but the only one i can find. but you just need to see all the mobs that roll out this bish. this is blizkrieg an assault mission where 2 huge waves of mobs come out. now if we could go around the world with parties and click waves of mobs to fight like this all day long i'd be in heaven. i could do this all day lol.
Yup might take a quick look to Rift ^^ tottaly forgot about this one ^^
