Time of Final Save Maintenance

What time of day will the final save take place? I want to be there when the curtain closes on this era, but Halloween is on the 31st. I don't think it'd be fair to overlap a huge Seventh Umbral Era event with a holiday where small children are encouraged to interrupt your night asking for candy.

There isn't going to be a "huge 7th umbral era event". the servers are just going to go down for maintenance and your save data will be locked in. Enjoy Halloween.

How do you know this? Why would they leave the servers up for 10 days, take them down then bring them up again unless something was going to happen? They'd have an easier time leaving them up. I'm actually expecting something during that period, because if they have to shut them down for a few days after it means they'll revert the world to a safer point in history. If something happens right before the final save I don't want to miss a beat.

If you're either too dense or too ignorant to read the lodestone newspapers, you probably don't know that all three Grand Companies are converging on Mor Dhona. So far we have seen nothing of that, so it'll either happen just before the final save or during the 10-11 days of unsaved play time thereafter.

Most likely nothing will happen before the final save. The interesting stuff will probably take place during the 10 days after that; its the only reason I can see to keep the servers up for that time.

There will be an event after the final save and patch on the 1st. I read your first post to mean you thought something was happening before the patch but it is after the patch and the servers are up for 10 days to give people a window in which to experience it in case they can't play right after the patch.

Only reason is being brought back up is because of the handful of people who wants to continue playing the game even though nothing saves.
