Thread: Thank you for melding!

I had a happy moment today.

A friend of mine, Binc Lorik, just did me a favour by attempting to double-meld a Sarnga with Heaven's Eye materia IV for me with materials I provided.

He succeeded. First try. That sort of luck doesn't happen that often.

I offered some extra gil as thanks. He declined it and refused to give me back my completed Sarnga until I refused to pay him.



I wanted to take this opportunity to not just thank Binc, but also to throw a huge thank you out there to everyone who has helped their friends and/or Linkshell members with materia melding. Be it for the relic quest or otherwise, it is you guys that support the players who have not been able to invest as much time into crafting, or have simply not been playing the game for as long.

This stands in stark contrast to the "elitist" perspective many people will have about the typical "hardcore" player who locks themself away with their tight little static group and refuses to associate with anyone who has less than 4 relics.

Thank you for helping break that attitude. Thank you for being a part of the wider community.

Haven't really seen this kind of behavior, most of the time its just players in linkshells with strict rules that doesn't allow players to have more than one linkshell.

Hopefully in 2.0 Free companies will do away with the linkshell cliques. Linkshells will be a great way for players to keep in touch instead without being so restricted.

I tried once, it blew up ;_; +1 weapon base relic too XD.

I guess I'm thinking of the perspective that doesn't really align with reality. I... had this perspective for a while when I started playing. It took good and nice stuff like this to properly smack it out of me.

Grats on double meld but yeah like others said i never see anyone refusing to double meld and only willing to double meld for their static.
