Maybe Alpha has been going on since September, but because of the NDA, no one can talk about it.

Always a possibility! Either way, rushing Alpha/Beta test is suicide, they need to take their time with it, idc if it takes till Spring 2013, this is something they need to perfect 100%. If the game isn't Playable, even if the game is the best their is, people won't play it because they would get frustrated with the Network infrastructure of the game ( which to me takes high priority).
