Server shut down

Can anyone tell me why everything else is getting pushed back (i.e. the alpha, beta, and release) but the server shutdown is staying on schedule.

I mean, if i remember correctly Yoshi P. said it would only take a month or two to transfer character data and such to the new servers.

So why are they adding to sever down time just because ARR isnt ready yet. They should delay the server shut down as well.

As far as I'm aware, nothing has been pushed back, so I don't know what you're talking about. We really aren't far off from the roadmap, which was made a looooooong time ago- I'm actually impressed that they were able to hold so close to it.

It'll be like a whiny renaissance for the forums. There will be complaints as far as the eye can see, don't you worry. And most of them will be baseless or built on flimsy arguments, just like always.

The chances of this community NOT complaining are... well they are simply nonexistent... They will find something to complain about, surely the grass won't as awesome as they imagined it would be. lmfao

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but isn't the outline that everyones quoting the alpha/beta plan line/thing from like.. a year ago? Its where everyone keeps pulling the guidelines from?

This should give a ballpark date as to when it's coming, and it's not anytime soon. but Beta is coming soon though. So look forward to that! I know I am!

Think they already mentioned it will only run at 30 FPS for optimization purposes anyway, using the exact example that it doesn't do as much for an MMO of this type compared to a FPS. Was in one of the later interviews.
