    FFXIVARR Lower stats for token items

    Hello everybody /0/

    Just learned from Rain's thread that in ARR, we'll obtain tokens allowing to buy items, but, with lower stats than droped items :/

    So, in order to keep Rein's thread clean, let's talk about this here ^^/

    A Quick Summary of the recent JP Articles by Stanislaw:

    - Raid bosses will always drop some type of reward - somewhere around 2~3 rare drops per party, random lotted. Even if one didn't get the rare drop, the players will be rewarded with tokens which you can then exchange for rare drops. In exchange, the chances to participate in the random lottery will be limited to 3 times per week. (Stanislaw's notes: The text in the interview here isn't really clear. What I'm assuming this means is that the chance to get that 2~3 rare drops is limited to 3 times per week, but one can still get tokens by trying the content over and over again. On the other hand, this can easily mean the return of horrid re-entry times.)

    Still question remains on where that person got "3 times per week came from" unless that's in that article. Don't have any original copy of the magazine or scans so I just went off by the 2ch summary info.

    Just read the other thread post if its translation from Stanislaw it's most likely correct, that info maybe what he read in the magazine since he's in Japan (I think lol) pretty sure he has the original article to translate from.

    Maybe talking about the greed system YoshiP talked about previously?? like you can only do greed x times per week?? not sure, just guessing w

    This time in New FFXIV, instead of of tying Boss monster rare drops to luck/chance, your guaranteed to obtain some kind of reward for defeating the boss. One party will get around 2-3 rewards so you'll have to draw(i assume he means roll can also mean lottery) for it within the party, As a result you'll be limited to 3 rolls/draws/lottery per week depending on the content, and a reset timer will be provided for each content.

    And of course those who do not win the lottery will be awarded token/tickets which can be accumulated and exchanged for items so in result you will always gain something

In this regard, unless you play and experience it yourself it is hard to explain.
    Again l would like to state that my Japanese is limited and as such the translation might not be 100% accurate.

    The part in green, there were some kanji in this sentence that i did not understand, The way i understood it is if you fail to get the reward within that week, then you can do other content till your lottery participation timer is up again. if this translation is somewhat accurate then this can mean a few things.

    If lottery participation timer is different from re-entry timer then this would indicate that if you lose the lottery 3x then you won't be able to roll again even if u got nothing, so win or lose you lose lottery participation count.

    "そのリセットタイマー" "that reset timer" in this case, the way i understand it, "that" is referring to the lottery participation, implying that the timer is for the lottery participation. But for all we know in SE's head lottery participation and re-entry might be the same thing, so its hard to say if the two are different. Taking into the fact that u can only participate in lottery 3x (1st quote) but can challenge the content 3-4x (2nd quote) i myself think the 2 are different, an official translation on the subject would be nice .

    In the first quote he says that you draw for the items within the party(at least that is how i understood it) implying it might not be system side random lottery, people might have the option to pass, those who don't get the drops will get token instead.

    One last time i would like to remind people that my translation skills are very limited, there are some Kanji within the article that i do not understand well so keep that in mind when you discuses and hope we get something more accurate and official soon.

    still wont stop people from aiming for the best one. so people well keep doing content unless theres a long lock out.

    I'm ok with it if the lower quality gear (Darklight > Dimlight? wakawaka!) is still decent enough to use.

    HL Gauntlets: Defense 85 HP+80 Vitality+12 Mind+12 Evasion-20 Magic Evasion+5 Enmity+45

    ?? Gauntlets: Defense 75 HP+70 Vitality+10 Mind+10 Evasion-25 Magic Evasion+3 Enmity+35

    But if it's something like:

    ?? Gauntlets: Defense 45 HP+40 Vitality+4 Mind+4 Evasion-40 Magic Evasion+2 Enmity+15

    Then please spare us. (Also I brought up the lower quality dungeon gear aeons ago and everybody said it was a bad idea but apparently Yoshi disagrees so HAH!)

    SE loves junk gear if anything it will probably be worse than the one you listed last.
