    Yeah this could be an issue. they just need to balance very well re-entry times and tokens needed.

    I would say that if one player wins around 20-30 runs of any dungeon, then he deserves a drop. and not a gimped one.

    So a 1 day re-entry time could be good; by cycling through different dungeons, looting trice a week per dungeon and collecting tokens, I am sure the content will last quite long and people will be pleased ad rewarded for their efforts.



    EDIT: Just one more thought: the point of tokens should be for anyone to know that if he plays a certain dungeon n times the reward will be there for him; not like today where you never know when (AND IF) something is gonna drop.

    Exactly. Done too many AV runs to count and have yet to get a Corselet lol. I think if people put the time in to run the dungeon 50+ times, they should at least get something.

    Can we not have 2 sets of stats for items just so the elite/lucky can look down upon us commoners? If they make it so you need to do a good deal of runs to get enough tokens to get the gear, it's just as much effort. Those who are unlucky with the actual drops should be rewarded too after so many runs. They're just as good, and sometimes better, than those who just get lucky and get the drop.

    Personally, if the token bought items aren't the same stats as dropped items then I'll have little interest in them. Who isn't out for best in slot? I know I am. I'd rather they up the token price and just give me the same items I wasn't as lucky as the next player to receive.

    Honestly, it all depends if the dungeons are actually fun or not -- FF rarely has "fun" dungeons but the ones that do are actually pretty creative. I found Nyzul in XI fun because while you had the same 5 or so objective sets, they weren't always the same every run -- it switches things up and keeps it interesting even if you get screwed out on drops on the boss floor. Assaults were probably the best system SE did for XI since while you can (rarely) get gear from the assault themselves you built up your points to buy the sought after gear (75 cap) -- this took a month due to cooldown on tags used to enter Assault.

    If SE does something similar it won't take long at all to get gear either through drop or through purchasing.

    This. Like people have said. You don't trade in your 40 vortex totems and get a gimped garuda weapon. So why would you get gimped gear? I'd much rather they simply increase the token cost on the main drops.

    As I said in another topic. The token system is supposed to be a back up plan. a sort of oh you didn't get your dark light piece but here's a token that ensures you're at least a little closer towards obtaining that piece of darklight.
