    Will water spells ever come back?

    As the title states, does anyone think that the water magic spells and abilities will make a comeback in ARR? I know that it's been stated that Cure is water-based for CNJ/WHM, though they never got Water when the elemental wheel was split between CNJ/WHM/THM/BLM. If it does come back, which jobs do you think the water spells and abilities can go to? Possibly CNJ/WHM to make the split more appealing, and other new classes and jobs. Truth is, after Water was removed from our current game, I know that a lot of the weaknesses for monsters and bosses were changed. Like Ifrit being weak to Wind as an example.

    Maybe not with the launch, but later

    I know that a lot of the weaknesses for monsters and bosses were changed. Like Ifrit being weak to Wind as an example.
    This isn't new, it was since beta this way
    Fire is strong against ice. Ice is strong against wind. Wind is strong against fire.
    Earth is strong against lightning. Lightning is strong against water. Water is strong against earth.

    Ah, I wasn't really sure. I thought it followed the same elemental wheel that we had in FFXI. But if there are two cycles like that (being two elmental wheels instead of being one continuous one like in FFXI), then why have it that way?

    the official reason is because they're planning to reintroduce it later with some new class

    which doesnt make it better.. they cut water out because of the "every class should have the same amount of skills" "shit" ;XD

    This is due to people complaining we had "too many spells/abilities"...I mean yeah in XI you had hundreds and no one really complained beyond their potency lol. Like Blue Mages have a TON of spells you rarely if at all ever use simply due to their potency levels and limited equip space, but in XIV it didn't matter because like BLU you can pick what you want for whatever situation.

    I hope arr rebalances the elements. even doing things like the whm final af. you think logically using fire on the ice elemental would smash it but thunder still wins by a long shot. there's a hundred other examples but thats the main one that comes to mind because you'd think that would be an ideal fight to demonstrate the elemntal wheel

    That's mostly because THM/BLM DPS is very poorly balanced making most spells useless except for Thunder combo.
