I like this idea alot but thats because I had a great LS and we all knew we would get our gear we needed. I love old school ffxi but most ppl that play ffxiv want easy content, what they really need to do is make the rewards that much better for ppl who do want to have things like 2-3 hr events, land gods, NM's that you actually have to camp for and have a ToD on, nobody wants anything competitive anymore its actually kinda sad. Thats ok pvp sounds like it might be fun.

Yea, cause when I pay monthly for a game I only want like, ya know... 20 minutes top of play time.

the balance is that you do it for a half hour, but can go in as many times as you want. so whenever you get tired of it, you can wait 10 more minutes and leave instead of forceclosing and pretending your power went out when there was 2 hours of dynamis left.

only difference is your selfishness makes it so people cant' group up in large groups and have fun for 4hours but you can still do your 1 hour solo thing ...

This is seriously the issue with people. I don't get why it's so hard for the people who apparently "don't have that much time to play" to understand what compromise means. You do realize the game doesn't turn on when you log in and shut off when you log out 37 minutes later?

So basically everything time-wise has to get scaled down to the man with least amount of time or it's bad? No, that doesn't constitute as bad.

Dynamis (originally) had 3 day re-attempt timers. Hamlet does not. your comment is nullified.

You must not be excited about the new dungeons XD. Yoshida did talk about wanting to make events take longer. We will at least be pushing an hour an hour 30. With how Yoshida talked about the dungeon and then a boss I wouldnt doubt longer (though I am just speculating). Since Totorak is already an hour and with the forced level caps you wont be finishing it in 15 mins anymore.

If you only have 30 minutes to play then you might want to look into a different game, just sayin... I havn't played a single mmo that I could log in instantly and just expect to do something right that second and for 30 minutes hahaha. No thanks to that, you should pick up a crap console game like the rest of the sheep.

<<this ...yeah lets change everything about what made mmo's ...mmo's just so you can't have too much to do. gamefly monthly is 22bucks for 2 games out. you'll never run out of games to play at 30mins a day. have fun.

sad thing is ...casual people are the numbers and devs love that they don't even have to do as much work building a mmo anymore. so more money, less work. how can they lose. game sucks so what, game does bad ..meh they made money either way.

truthfully ffxiv is my last mmo. if it doesn't pump out at least 25+ man events and creates a mmo where i don't feel i need to log out after a few hours then i'm done with all mmo's and any offline games of those companies. just a fact. i been threw enough mmo's since ffxi to know that i will never enjoy any of these casual created mmos. i want what ffxi had or i don't want to play mmo's. they should def change the name of mmorpg to ...fbgfah(facebookgamingforassholes) but anyway. /end rant.
