They have to show WHY FFXIV ARR is unique and WHY someone has to prefer it over GW2, Wow , ecc ecc.

Example, GW2 PR: Gw 2 will be revolutionary! never seen super massive PVP, NO queue on servers, no class trident (tank healer dps), no quests but dynamics event, hybrid action combat with a lot of customizzable skill and weapon, dungeons with 4 ways to follow each, ALL servers wide AH , almost NO maintenance, a lot of point of interest on map, jumping puzzle, a lot of e-sport, a lot of colors to customize you amor on fly, great graphics and... all this FREE TO PLAY!!!

Content aside, I prefer FFXIV graphics details and textural quality. If you look at the original non resized GW2 images the resolution isn't that great and the images tend to be slightly pixelated. The GW2 character models look like emotionless manequins lacking facial exressions. Oh, and the grass doesn't look any different.

Content aside, I prefer FFXIV graphics details and textural quality. If you look at the original non resized GW2 images the resolution isn't that great and the images tend to be slightly pixelated. The GW2 character models look like emotionless manequins lacking facial exressions. Oh, and the grass doesn't look any different.

I don't know if you're currently playing GW2 , and of course "tecnically" is XIV is slighlty superior.

Anyway you selected the worst screens ever lol.. I'm playing GW2 and graphically it is very good. It has a very beutiful and big world, a lot of character and monster on screen, a lot of particulars, best water ever and most important thing.. The world feels "alive". A lot of review stated that Tyria (GW2 world) is one of the most beutiful of an mmo.

And speaking about lifeless face... NO WAY. GW2 has the best idle animation that i have ever seen in an mmo, the face, eyes, eyebrown, the skin, the mouth are always animated. And i hope that they add these animations in ARR too, they really bring life even if your character is simply standing. Atm i think the opposite. FF character looks like dolls without expression, 0 idle animation, no face movement, eyes always look in one point etc.

I really hope that they add idle animations like GW2, really they're great and with the character design of FFXIV they could be even better.

Nope, I haven't played the game. I' got the screenshots from the game's website, likewise for ARR. I admit it probably does not do he game justice and I have no understanding of the game's content other than what was mentioned in that previous post. However I do admit that one screenshot in particular struck me as impressive in regard the game's environment:

Again, these are the screenshots presented by the games own website under the media section. Maybe they weren't running it on highest resolution are haven't updated recently?

Edit: you have to look at the non resized images to see the noticable difference in graphic quality between the two images.
