There was supposed to be a flood, but then SE saw how much we complain about everything and held it back.

Well basically from the interviews I read and translated if they released flood of information say 4 month early to the release date with current gaming economy/generation you will get other game info's within that 4 month time till the game is released. People will tend to forget about the information that was announced 4 month back therefore they changed the plan and going to release the flood of info once they are close to release of the game.
Sucks for the existing players but for SE sales tactics to bring in more sales from new players this step would get them more revenue/results imo.

I could care less for a flood of information.
Just enough information on how Black Mage/ Thaumaturge is going to be changed for the better. Like Fire/Ice spells being as effective as Thunder/Thundara. The Ancient Magic spells actually being able to do super high damage since they can't be comboed.
This, and 1 more Disciple of Magic besides Arcanist/Summoner. Atleast with 2 new disciples of magic you won't see everyone running around with carbuncle (tonberry would be better).
Because what good is all the future content if you can't enjoy your class?
still know nothing about the game so i would say know. everything has been a hint and thats about it.
trickle trickle drip drop
and a lot of vague statements

I considered the recent interviews, live letter, and 20th anniversary show the "flood".
People need to take things with a grain of salt when it comes to SE and press/info release times.
Yep, even Yoshi said people have expectations too high and after seeing alpha may change that lol. Oh well, guess most people were just expecting SE to put R Kelly to shame.
They have stated that they are banking on PS3 sales (esp. in Japan) to revive this game. I suspect the "flood" will come when the PS3 beta is ready around mid-November.
Something that both the XI and XIV "communities" always seem to forget is that both of these games were designed and intended for console gamers from the very start. They "added" PC support to boost NA sales.
It's all about the PS3 so "please be patient and look forward to that".
