Noit isn't, becuz I don't want to have to press more than 4 buttons. Srsly, I only get to play like 8 minutes a week.Well if we are really going to get into spellcasting being a tactical thing instead of a one button thing...We should consider making all elements single target and AOE again...
You know because being able to pick a elemental weakness and not AOE the world around you is sometimes a good thing.
May I direct you to a single player game? Perhaps ones on an emulator were you can save state... 8 mins >.> You can barely log in, watch your character get out of bed, and then log back out. lol

Limsa Lominsa keep your pirates, and your ships covered in musty mold.
My loyalty lies with Gridania, with the Moogles and the tree spirits of old." -The Forky Conjurer
Yeah lol, 8 minutes is about the time to log in, walk somewhere then log back out.
The current magic system suffers from over-simplification at the cost of depth. Adding Additional effects to your spells and make some AOE and others not, is not tactical it reeks of a bad attempt to treat spells like skills instead of spells.
Well this is what people wanted. We used to have the ability to turn AoE on and off but people complained that it was too much for them to worry about and that it was handled poorly. I think a single button press to toggle it was fine, apparently though they saw fit to remove it. This is what people wanted.
I'm not sure we need tier spells back, especially considering we do have tier spells (thunder, fire, blizzard, cure). They're just not numbered. A visual change over the course of leveling is fine but to that end, how impressive would a max level Firaga need to be to accommodate that?
