    Because the person doesn't deserve the answer if they aren't willing to spend a minute or two looking for it before asking about it. Instead, it's a better use of my time scolding them for not being interested enough in information to search for it and instead depending on everyone else to give it.

    I never understand why some call this format "military date" other parts other world use this as th default.
    Just like the 24 hour clock (I personally use this format for everything).
    This date format simplifies sorting events in chronological order (a simple sorting algorithm will put them in the correct order simply being handed the digits without the slashes in this fashion and sorting them from left to right); however, other date formats are used because they are more naturally spoken in a sentence: "Today is January twenty-fourth , twenty-twelve;" versus "Today is twenty-twelve, the twenty-fourth of January" which reads awkwardly in English and uses more words.

    Am I doing it wrong? Cause I simply emphasize my sarcasm on my opening post

    Youre right. I use the format for file name in everyday work: daily progress, minutes of meeting, etc
