I've been playing since slightly before the legacy announcement, and I've never actually see anyone demand payment in exchange for help. Many of the people I meet are just as nice and helpful as the people I played with on FFXI.

Speaking of playing more often, Anyone know any decent linkshells that would accept a returning player? I know i don't have any 50's but with as much as I plan on playing it wont take long. Currently have about 40-60 hours a week to dedicate to playing,
I say, why don't you have the money to pay people to help you. they are taking time to help instead of making for a profit for themselves. The least you can to is slightly make it up to them.
jk. have yet to see it on masamune yet.

thats the only merc offer i've seen on sargatanas
Actually sad that you can buy a relic for roughly 100 mil :/

I believe this has happened on Sargatanas due to the fact that despite being one of the larger servers, non-JP players took a vast amount of time to complete the Relic Reborn quest behind JP players.
The first non-JP Linkshell completed Relic Reborn at the beginning of August and was followed a month later by other non-JP Linkshells but JP Linkshells were 7/7 at that point already. So as a server, we were quite behind on content.
Mercenaries are probably popping up on all servers right now, but I think Sargatanas stands out as the demand to complete current content is extremely high on this server, that's all it really is.
My personal opinion is being able to complete the quest with your linkshell is more satisfying that letting a professional group take you through for a shiny pixels. It's also going to show on your lodestone history forever that you paid for an achievement rather than worked for it within a group.
