Rested XP while servers are down?

Anyone know if it's been asked of the devs whether we'll be building rested xp on our characters during the migration downtime?

Didn't get a chance to try and ask during the last live event, and it's something I've been curious about for a while. It would be nice of them to let us build some rested xp since we are unable to play.

Been wondering this as well..lol with all the XP I have saved up I can probably get SMN to 50 in a day haha

I haven't seen it mentioned but I don't know how impactful it'll be to leave it alone. It should be a fairly simple field in the database to change if they want everyone to start from 0.

there's a cap on the rested XP bonus so it won't matter

It would really be a non-issue anyway since you can only build up a week of rested XP.

No, you will not gain Rested XP when servers are down.

This is because they are doing a final save, and then reapplying that save state to ARR.

This means the time from Servers go down, to time ARR goes up 0 minutes will have passed = no rest XP because no time passed in game, no saves, no updates etc.

(also for those that care, Rest XP doesn't build during server maintenance.... just think of this as a really long maint.)

dont think we'll get rested XP since our original characters will actually be new when ARR starts.
