Well hmm, even if that's true, the speed at which you accumulate rested exp is so slow it wouldn't matter. Anyway, I don't see them suddenly limiting where you can craft, and especially in camps.

It is indeed true, I believe you get a tick of rested exp every 30 minutes, whether or not it is retroactive from going in and out of your inn I'm unaware of currently.

I believe you enter rested once you enter your inn room. I thought the little bed icon ment rested and that was why you couldn't craft in your inn room. They didn't want you gaining rested bonus while not actually resting.

What Elexia said. I believe no crafting in the Inn room was more engine limitations than becuase of the rested exp.
I'm betting it's more limitations, since you weren't able to craft in mog house either. If that's the case they most likely are changing local leves extensively since most people craft at camps (for those) so yeah.

I like the thought of there being Inns in other towns, and even being able to buy tents.

It is right now. But there will be no Atomos in ARR, and we don't know much of it will be regained from Hamlet when it changes. They might have made it near unlimited for our convenience right now, doesn't mean it will stay that way.

Darn, looks like they are scrapping the built up rested bonus of everyone who's got a LV 900 character
EDIT: Obviously everyone else too >_>" but just saying we can't use ours lol~

Will we be able to craft there? I was under the impression that crafting in inns was restricted to keep people from consuming rested EXP as it generated, thereby exploiting a loophole. If that's the case, we can expect these rested areas to be packed with crafters. Even well-built servers have their limits.
