Yeah, it's so stupid really. Amon is an optional boss and he's not even in the Crystal Tower, you fight him in Eureka.
I don't see where the issue is if they call him Hein... we already have multiple versions of Shiva, Ifrit, Bahamut, Tiamat, Maboros, etc. in the series.
