Can we save our macro pallets to the server?

i dont understand the point of the macros.. other than gear swaps.

There are a few reasons, one reason I use macros is so I can have my main bar in view all the time, then my second bar on all my alt macros and my third bar on all my ctrl macros. What I have also done (before the battle system overhaul) is set one macro use use a few commands one after the other, for example on my LNC I used it to use all my damage boosting actions, collusion and chaos thrust to get maximum hate from my best WS on the tank. I'm also sure people use them for other reasons as well.
