Are the ARR UI graphics placeholders or the final version?

I've been wondering this. Could we get some confirmation?
It looks really amateur and doesn't seem stylized like the game. I always thought it was just a placeholder for the real UI but since they are releasing so many screenshots of it so publicly I'm starting to think it isn't just a placeholder.

Usability wise, it seems pretty good though.

So even if its the final design, I also wonder, will we be able to customize their graphics through the player made plugins yoshi spoke so much about?

I like the way they laid out the gamepad controllers, hope we can enable them on PC too. And hope it isn't hard to make these mods. Someone told me they are done in ActionScript 3? If so I'm golden.

Everything we know points to AS3. I'm extremely hopeful that it is, since I consider myself beyond competent in AS3. The only thing that worries me is that the widgets themselves will most likely by pure Flash. Almost all of my experience with Flash/AS3 has been through Flash Builder 4 (previously Flex 3), which glosses over the Flash aspect with MXML. I'm hoping that they use a version of scaleform that is compatible with Flash Builder 4 as I am significantly less confident in my ability to build Flash applications without that framework.

For those of you that know ActionScript 3.0... is there anywhere you can point someone wanting to learn about coding that? I'm always interested in picking up new things and this will give me something to do until ARR is released.

Adobe has an absolutely sublime reference document here, but that can be a little dry to read without a specific question. How familiar are you with other programming languages (compiled or interpreted)? Actionscript has a syntax that most closely resembles Javascript, or Java at times. A lot of techniques from other heavily OOP languages are applicable as well. I find it to have some semantic kinship with C#.

These videos may be useful as a quick primer as well.

I code in multiple languages right now, mainly VBscript, .Net and COBOL. I know Java and picking up C# as I go. Thanks for that information. I'll check it out this weekend.
