Tera > Aion > WoW
In order of better neon color graphics and newest to oldest.
FFXIV doesn't use the same color pallet* (thank god). Not even sure I would want to put it in the same list as them.
* In consistency at least, the grotto caves shmenolololpooopooo (spelling error? hehehe) are fairly neon but it works there.

gawd@mn you guys make me ashamed to be part of this community. There are some serious people in here with pinkies raised in the air crying "meh" and "poo poo"over the graphics. LMAO since when are you actual critics well vested in what constitutes good and bad graphics? Don't you think if your judgement was so good you would be working for one of these game companies instead of just playing them? Get over yourselves. Yeah the systems old, yeah the PS3 is "good" but not the best in the entire world at this current point in time. ok? and the point is? seriously you guys are sad. Makes me want to not even read these lame threads anymore. Suck the spit through your braces/retainers, straighten your cheap metal wizard and dragon figurines. Dorks. Like a bunch of friggen hens in a hen house.......
Because this is a constructive way to combat that, right?gawd@mn you guys make me ashamed to be part of this community. First meet Hein in FF3 as boss that has imprisoned a town and has taken the great fairy tree and turns it into a flying castle. He isn't really a huge part of the story more like a side boss.
Amon you find in the endgame dungeon in FF3 and looks pretty much the same as Hein but just reskined. He protects the throwing weapon "Rising Moon".
This character is hardly a character because of what he does in FF3 and he is not even mentioned in any other FF. This is a good thing for FF14 which they can now create him into a decent character one we can even remember well and not think hes Kefka, gogo or gilgameish just because how hes dressed.
the generation i grew up in never complained about graphics. we played 8-bit games and loved them. this generation is just spoiled and entitled. i remember being impressed with FFVII cause the chrs blinked... bottom line is gameplay, you can have the prettiest looking piece of shit game and in the end its still a piece of shit... look at the 1.0 launch. I'm willing to sacrifice graphics for a decent game.
but this is just my opinion.
They tried to have the best graphics and set the bar really high and in the end it wasnt worth it. i dont see how they expected 1.0 to be playable on the PS3. at this stage it seems the options are to sacrifice a few chr animations, broaden the spectrum of graphics support, then hopefully release the game again in less than a year. if you want the bestest graphics out there this game will be at minimum 2 years or more off.
i think the graphics look amazing and thats just what i've seen via youtube videos (and we all know how good that quality can be). i think its prident to reserve this level and amount of critisizm for when we have had a chance to play it and tinker with the settings our selves, until then it really feels like the spoiled brat syndrome.

I dont think it is entitled when the company does and says they will be the best MMO graphics - but I carry this statement for PC. It would be like vavle making Portal 3 but all the puzzles sucked and there was no quirky smart dialog. Those are a staple safe expectation that involves no entitlement.
I think sometimes people forget that making video games is not "just" art (it is art) but it is also a business, and you serve your customers.
That being said, this is a PS3 topic and there is a point of realistic expectations. The PS3 is old - getting good graphics on a MMO structure is quite a challenge (and SE isn't a master of the ps3 as it is not their main console (the main focus)).
Anyway, I think people are a little lose with the entitlement speech..
(though everyone shouldn't expect PC graphics on PS3)

Lmao I gotta love MMO players, say 1 bad thing that goes against the game they play and they pounce on you like savage dogs. Jesus get over it, I have my own opinion and you have yours. Go outside in Uldah and look in that blurry distance and at the dull land around you, how about zoom your camera out while on the chocobo while you are at it to have that nice little lag aswell while moving. Fair enough zoomed in to your character/CS' the game looks AMAZING without a doubt, but only really when zoomed in, you go stand outside bric a brac and you need to wait 5 minutes to have a small amount of people pop on the screen. I'd show you a screen of a siege on korean servers where there was like 400+ people appeared on the screen, insane.
So now this is the highlight of the thread again anyone else want another go while we at it? If not get over it omg, quit crying at peoples opinions its not the end of the world you know.... or is it.
The wonders of opinions! Your feelings VS the world. get it? "Scott Pilgrim VS the world.
