I will never understand people like you. You think the graphics are inferior to Aion (maybe you are just so distracted by the slutty clothes that you don't notice how unrealistic everything looks) and you don't like the foundation of the class system. Those are two of the biggest selling points of the game, realistic graphics and the freedom to switch between classes; literally every other MMO fits the criteria of what it seems you would enjoy and yet you choose a game that is "broken and everyone knows it."

Or maybe you don't actually play, in which case, go away. There are people who actually enjoy FFXIV.

Uh I said the actual job system, you know the whole needing to /job on to be your job instead of just being it already. Hell I <3 how you can change job on the move tho, nothing at ALL wrong with that, I hate MMOs that you need to create multiple characters just to level another job(Thats why i played FFXI for 6yrs). Uh ok I don't play thats why I have almost every class 50, yea sure. Not sure why the hell someone would post on forums of a game they don't play, heh.

Antony...... learn the difference between aesthetics and graphics.
Aion doesn't have high polygon count models, high res textures or use advanced shaders.

So your personal taste might lean toward Aions art direction, that doesn't mean it's graphics are better, which they are not.

Since you shared your opinion I'll share mine. Aions graphics are low res garbage, I happen to like FFXIV's art direction and will take it over Aions any day.

Didn't say anyone wasn't entitled to there own opinion, don't be hatin' cause mine ain't the same as yours. I didn't say at all FFXIV graphics are bad, I'm just saying there is better when the person posted that FFXIV was the end all be all in the graphics department. Although you might not share that Aion looks nice compared to FFXIV, atleast you can set it onto high settings without either needing an expensive GPU or you can cope with the insane lag that it brings.

Although you can look on MANY review sites and Aions score actually beat FFXIV in many aspects. Not saying I'd play Aion over this, because Aions community is even worse than this due to the PVP and the fact its F2P now.

Like I said, everyone is entitled to there opinion so don't hate cause I don't share the same as you. Good day to you sir.

People are expecting too much from a game that still uses DX9 in 2013 :P
Imho Aion looks a bit worse than ARR but far worse than the current FFXIV. Aion is just more colorful (lots of purple lol).
If you want a game with really nice surroundings you should look at The Secret World. But it lacks character details.
The massive detail is what's making the current FFXIV sluggish for some people... well and the huge lag. The game doesn't scale down detail over distance, instead the stuff just disapears. If the game showed all players in range in Uldah you wouldn't even be able to move. SE needs to create an engine that can scale details depending on the situation. A scene with 10 characters can't be rendered the same way as a scene with 1000 characters, unless everyone looks derp

I'm not hating, you're just misinformed, unknowledgeable, and uneducated when it comes to extrapolating the difference between style vs detail (aesthetics vs graphics).

Aion may have reviewed with high scores but it doesn't make it a better game. You know what other game got high scores? SWToR. What a crap game.

I speak from experience as I've played both and found both games miserable.

The ps3 control scheme reminds me of Tera, I think it was a good idea.

Comparing ARR's ps3 graphics to ps2 is BS though, when was the last time you played a ps2 game? Only one out of five screenshots looks weird (the one with the terrible graphics), rest of them seem fine for a ps3 game. At the current stage, this might as well have been a screenshot from an earlier build.

Do I have to remind you which gpu the ps3 uses? I dare you to make the current game look better with smooth framerates with the current version running on a 7800GT

Personally I think it looks great, maybe cuz I've been a long time WoW player. But yeah PC does have more potential.

Anyway... why isn't any of this on the official website? Had I been a new player I would be checking the official website for updates and seeing none, would assume the game isn't progressing. I think it looks good but why does everything to do with FF Online games require so much "research" from quests to item lookup, etc... I remember when I played FFXI I needed to print stuff from my computer just to get quests done.

lol omg I remember having to print stuff out too for ffxi back in the day haha. Yeah they really need to focus on updating their website. last night I went on xi to ask my friends in my ls if they are playing 2.0 and none of them knew much like about gold saucer and crystal tower. No one is going to go hunt down info, se needs to realize this. I am tired of hunting down info myself meh

*correction* current ;D I have it already, and its just info we have already discussed, it was a blanket press release it seems which is better then previous press releases. There are intereiws in this Dengeki and this weeks Famitsu, as well.
