The whole "when it's ready" style release dates work fine but XIV is a special case because it's a relaunch, not a new game -- it's still titled Final Fantasy XIV, a name marred with negative press and bad history -- They have a lot to do and a lot of expectations to meet.
This is where you and a lot of ppl are wrong.. it is a new game built from the ground up it is a complete new team which have a whole different style of ideas the title is new servers will be new etc etc. this new game will only borrow names from 1.0 as w/e came after NOV 2011 was Yoshi-P's doing
