Yeah, she pulled that stunt on me last week when I was giving my honest opinion, but meh it's the internet so I could careless at this point :P.Thank you oh all powerful, god of FFXI naysayers for the future of FFXIV. Thank you for telling us what our opinion is, from your own mouth, oh thank you oh great one!
On topic, These graphics are amazing, for a PS3 Console MMORPG. There is so much you can do. You can never compare single-player game graphics to MMORPG graphics because the infrastructure is built entirely different, and sacrifices at parts that are expected in single player games to make it run and work and look optimally.
Graphics= Facts apparently![]()

I won't believe it until I see a normal consumer PS3 running the game with more than 30 characters on screen ;P
Here is where you failed my friend ..there are no shes in the interwebz.
on topic i'm willing to bet Yoshi-P will shut most of complainers mouth at launch the game will be amazing in every aspect.. Yoshi-P is a very demanding director/gamer he wont be satisfied with anything less than perfect

This could actually be more harmful than good -- Developers who settle for "nothing less than perfect" runs the risk of not only losing hype for their game but also missing a time period for their project; For example, nowadays Shooters and 'Sandbox' type games are the rage, what if the game that wouldn't released "until it's perfect" was an older fashioned Shooter game, basically missing the boat as they say?
The whole "when it's ready" style release dates work fine but XIV is a special case because it's a relaunch, not a new game -- it's still titled Final Fantasy XIV, a name marred with negative press and bad history -- They have a lot to do and a lot of expectations to meet.

Which is precisely why Yoshida is doing his job as Producer and Director to make sure the game launches in as pristine a condition as humanly possible. Overlooking things and otherwise not having a plan for the future is Tanaka-era and we're hopefully past that now. Yoshida needs to continue doing his job, making sure things are up to his level of expectation or greater -- which is what fans would expect of the game regardless.This could actually be more harmful than good -- Developers who settle for "nothing less than perfect" runs the risk of not only losing hype for their game but also missing a time period for their project; For example, nowadays Shooters and 'Sandbox' type games are the rage, what if the game that wouldn't released "until it's perfect" was an older fashioned Shooter game, basically missing the boat as they say?

As for me, I'm past the 'bad hate and bad press' experience. I'm perfectly happy waiting for this game, however long it might take, so long as it's perfect and ready for launch when that time arrives. I'm sure a lot of other people feel the same.
This is where you and a lot of ppl are wrong.. it is a new game built from the ground up it is a complete new team which have a whole different style of ideas the title is new servers will be new etc etc. this new game will only borrow names from 1.0 as w/e came after NOV 2011 was Yoshi-P's doingThis could actually be more harmful than good -- Developers who settle for "nothing less than perfect" runs the risk of not only losing hype for their game but also missing a time period for their project; For example, nowadays Shooters and 'Sandbox' type games are the rage, what if the game that wouldn't released "until it's perfect" was an older fashioned Shooter game, basically missing the boat as they say?

Yeah, people seem to forget that this is a new game with the same name ( only because they don;t want a Numbered FF game to fail) so this is their way for preserving that name. Other than the name.. most things about FFXIV ARR will be New, heck they even changed their minds on the last minute to change some things "within" the cities..This is where you and a lot of ppl are wrong.. it is a new game built from the ground up it is a complete new team which have a whole different style of ideas the title is new servers will be new etc etc. this new game will only borrow names from 1.0 as w/e came after NOV 2011 was Yoshi-P's doing
