I haven't a clue why you peeps even talk about FFXIV's graphics... makes me wonder which MMORPG u been playing
before u started playing FFXIV to be looking down on it's graphics.

The graphics are quite nice for a console. if you didn't expect a very visible downgrade, either you don't have a console, or you don't have a PC (or you're hating for the sake of hating).

Mind you, it looks way better than most MMORPGs do on PC as well.

But I'm not surprised to see the usual haters riling on it. They never disappoint.

@Ryans: bet you that targeting is on L1 and R1, considering that those buttons are free from the mentioned configuration. It would also be quite logical.

By the way, the controller layout is pure genius. I REALLY hope you will be able to select it on PC as well, for when I feel like playing from the couch.

Logistically speaking, (for a gamepad user) how are you going to switch targets mid combat and select actions with any amount of speed? As it is now, in combat you have to cancel your action bar selection with O, press <- or ->, and then hit X to have your bar pop up for action selection. How are we supposed to switch targets when the D pad and the four main buttons are all default to actions (I'm assuming only in combat when you have your action bar displayed)? Is cancel going to be one of the bumpers? Or am I wrong in thinking that X, O, square and triangle have actions bound to them?

to access the hotbar you need to press(or maybe hold) L2/R2

select your target > press L2/R2 + action button

pretend L2/R2 is the "aim" button

They played game called Final Fantasy XIV, a really beautiful game and very detailed graphics. It has a big and seamless world, unique features and interface. Im sure thats the game people use as comparison

XIV's graphics are by far the best out there for an MMO..
You can tell what fabric your clothes are made of if you look close... u can see fibers and shit..
Enviorment, weather, wall textures, plantage, mobs' details, armor glow, realistic movement,shadows, cutscenes....
Where else have you guys seen better than this game's graphics. its an MMO ffs..... chill people.

I fu**** love this game's graphics. and i dun even play ALL max!

Not such a great game/community, but Aion graphics beat the hell out of the current FFXIV graphics.

You dumb? Did I say ARR or CURRENT FFXIV? Graphics on char/armor are 100x better, the armor in XIV is so plain looking(except AF which was added long after release).
