It's a perfectly reasonable question.

Calling a group of people odd isn't exactly complementary, and while your post may not have been that harsh, it could very easily devolved into a flame war due to the subject.

This is it.

The thread was titled something like "Why is the FFXIV community so hard to get along with?" I was following it out of curiosity.

The original question was not rude, but many of the responses were not constructive and were simply bashing the player base.
