For all the faults in this game, from the awful server lag, to elitists, to the rampant RMTs, I wonder how things could have gotten so bad...

...Then I find stuff like this and think maybe things aren't so bad after all.

Maybe things like this don't happen to FFXIV, not because FFXIV is in any degree superior to WoW; but instead, because it is less popular and less likely to have someone do this.

Nah. Stuff happened to XI from constant DDoS attacks to chinese hacking in retaliation to a political matter and XI wasn't "as popular as x".

I actually tried out WoW a couple weeks ago for the first time.
It's competent in a lot of ways,
and when someone turned into a bird and let me fly on his back, that was cool.
But the clipping plane and fog are (in 2012) unforgivable.
It's complete trash.
