Have you played this game? He's dead. Gone. Completely destroyed. He's not a recurring boss and if this game pulls an Advent Children, I will personally go to Square Enix headquarters with a miniature nuke launcher.

Prep that nuke, there is concept art somewhere around here of a big ass four legged monster that looks strangely similar to Nael Van/Deus Darnus.
(And yeah I've killed Nael in this game :P). But a boss exploding/falling/spiriting away has no proof that he is dead as previous FF games have proven lol. (wasnt even thinking of advent children, but that too)
Hes not dead, he vanished to Dalamud, remember? maybe he'll come back as Ultima weapon see some of the art they released for 2.0, theres a big four legged NM with the head similar to the raven's helmet...
LOL someone already posted the image above me

Well, if you consider the nael hard another form and not just a re-imagined version of the story fight, then he would have died three times by now. Two in the storyline fight and once in hardmode.

Difficulty sliders dont count as renvisions. Everytime SE really brings a boss back they always do some sort of visual feature change. Like the twenty different forms of Seymour from FFX lol.
Edit: apparently only 4.. :P

The new enemy would be Gaius or the emperor himself ^^

Has anyone done any testing on the heal potency difference between the dalmatica and white mage AF? People seem to be going for the dalmatica so it must be better but I am wondering what the difference is between the +50 healing potency and the "enhanced cure" effect.

I don't think the healing pot formula changed a lot, so here is a good page to read:
http://kanican.livejournal.com/54846.html
too long to read? then here is the quoted key point directly answer to your question:
(2) Adding +1 Healing Magic Potency adds roughly 1.25 HP on Cure and 2.50 HP on Cura when on CNJ.
It adds roughly 1.10 HP per potency when on non-CNJ classes. Be aware this is an oversimpliciation.
White mage AF body Enhance Cure ~ 10% increase.
I'll calculate it for you...(note: I didn't include the mind influence cus I'm not sure ppl's test ~+10% included +7 mind or no. mind +7 should give cura additional 27 hp according to 1.20 test result.)
+600 hp based cure:
Imperial Operative Dalmatica~ 662.5
AF body~ 660
+1100hp based cura:
Imperial Operative Dalmatica~ 1225
AF body~ 1210
People want that is <3 the refresh I think...
However, my rule is LOOK > ALL
I will not even want to get that ugly thing :O

Sorry to OP, but to even go further with Nael being that concept art (Omega like thing)
Nael got his ass handed to him so he is fairly destroyed (like sephiroth) - Garleans are technologically adapt, Naels suit looks bio mechanic and in similar style to the omega screen cap, there is actual resemblance between Nael and that concept art (helmet and chest in particular), Nael was alluded to Sephiroth - if anyone remembers the final fight of FF7 spehiroth goes into a weird boss mode as well (and doesn't really ever die).
On point for reps to read ( please give us unobainable items list, achievement list is nice but we need to know what items are staying and going as well ).
