Last save state Nov.1st or 11th?

It's been a little confusing with 2 letter of the producers sending a little bit of mixed signals or at least for me it's not clear cut anymore from the recent letter... What is the official date that save data will be recorded last? I ask this because a lot of people are trying to get as much done before last save date i.e. White Raven, last minute relics, castrum, ect... Can anyone shed some light on this? Hopefully something concrete and official. Thank you.

November 1st is the last save day, 11th the servers will go down temporarily and come back up again but will still not save.

Missable achievement list is available. Missable items are unknown and more assumed then others.

it wasn't unclear. 1° is the last save day, 11° the server will be shutted down, and then reopened (without any save)

I am un clear as to how they sent a mix signal. They said that Nov. 1st is the last save date. And they also said that Nov. 11th is when the servers will go down. That means that on Nov. 1st is the last save date. And on Nov. 11th is when the servers are going to go down. ^.^ hope it helps XD

The no data accumulated after the 11th is what confuses me on the new letter of the producer. Wouldn't they have said no data after the 1st?

The only reason for that is for people that wanna keep in contact with there friends or there LS's. Do some crazy crap like try to do quadruple melds or something.

I was at first, for this particular statement/wording of the Question which was asked:

Would you still want to continue playing the current version of FINAL FANTASY XIV after November 11, 2012, even if none of the character data accumulated beyond that date was carried over to your FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn account?

The question, is clearly talking about the date November 11th, and saying no data BEYOND November 11th will save, which in turn suggests that before that date (10th November) it will have saved.

He then goes to state

go and have as much fun as you can before November 11th.

Nothing has been changed though in the lodestone topic regarding dates, so for now it is probably still 1st.

Just because you didn't get confused doesn't mean everyone else on the whole planet wont too XD

Indeed that is confusing (if that is an actual quote :P). But earlier posts talking about 1st and 11th talk about 1st as the cut off.

This wouldn't be the first time SE has sent mixed signals though.

I wonder how often Blizzard or some such has sent the over seas funky translations of English lol.
(I have no idea.. obviously I read the English news : P )

November 1, 2012 (Thursday) Character data (including in-game progress) will not be saved after this date.
