I've killed him. But you havent played many FF games have you? SE doesnt know what dead means. They have brought back revived revamped many bosses throughout many FF games. Him being dead is like him taking a short nap.

Not to mention they alluded him to a famous reviving boss Sephiroth. So.. I wouldn't call him dying once his end funeral (though It is possible that was his last moment).

And don't forget that he is listed as a Threat under the 2.0 website. Along with new artwork of the Emperor.
