Keeping Commemorative coin

Any one know if we don't use our Commemorative coin in the 1.0 if we will be able to still have it in the 2.0?
Seeing I have most grand company items I like to save my coin as a Souvenir of the old 1.0 days .

It's not in the list of items to be removed, so no, it shouldn't be going anywhere.

I am also holding onto mine because Atomos already capped my seals.

The "Other obsolete items" is that giant list of dated ingredients that we've had since back in March and they didn't add the coin to it.

Pretty sure the coin was just a means to reimburse you the 25k seals you spent to promote. It can't be mere coincidence that the promotion cost and the value of the coin are identical.

In A Realm Reborn we are still planning to make it possible to exchange Commemorative Coins; however, whether it will be for Grand Company seals like now or for gil is still being discussed.

Also, the ability to exchange Over-aspected crystals and clusters for Grand Company seals is possible only during the Foundation Day event period and this will not be possible in A Realm Reborn.

Well, that about confirms it that all they're really used for is getting money back (now in the form of GC seals, or alternatively getting gil later on).

I'll exchange that in when I stuff all my AF into the Armoire to make inventory managing easier on me.
