New Class/Job possiblity? Hairdresser/Barber

I know it sounds farfetched but guys come on, having a way to change your hairstyle or facial hair would rock! People could run up and use their scissors to give you a trim!

The AF could look like Edward Scissorhands!




ACTUALLY I think it would be cool to have a way to change your hairstyle/color or beard in the game after character design.. I dont know if any other games offer it.. but I think it would be neat..

So many do, but it is usually a micro-transaction. It is one of those not so bad microtransactions, Aion has a bunch, change name, change server (like XI), change gender, etc.

It is realistic to have hair style / beard / tattoo / piercing modifications in game, would also be a great way for SE to add in more hair styles later without feeling like they should give everyone a character reset.

When making my character I felt quite limited on good hair styles - something I'd like to see change.

well yoshida said that hyuran looking boring to him, and that they want to add more "special" final fantasy alike hairstyles. that was in the last live presentation

Plausible, but there are points where you can say no :P at points like changing names, genders, races and such, things that create player to character disconnects and ruin immersion*. Its not like you can't walk down a hallway halfway and turn around.

* I dont feel that changing hair style (and colors - within reason) would create a disconnect.

OP A LOT of people want this. I like to change something small about my character every so often besides the outfit. This would not lead to name change as SE is pretty hesitant about doing it with 2.0 anyways.

I would love to change my hair once in a while... it's not like I am going to change the colour of my skin or race or anything.
Why sould my kitty have fringe every day when one day I could pull it back... and maybe one day I feel like dying it black if I am feeling particularly emo lol.

I am not sure why people connect hairstyles to name change... it's not like I change my identity every time I go to the hairdressers in rl lol

Pretty sure you will be able to change servers in 2.0 meaning people can change names if they have someone named the same thing on another server.... its been a work around for a long time.

Yes, it natural to have hairstyle change or what, but I really really dont want this happen in-game easily with a few click
make it limited (like once in a lifetime), outside the game
